Dear Visitor Greetings wine lovers, Having just returned from honeymoon, Elmari was invited to Sun City for the annual SA Council of Businesswomen congress held on the 15th September 2008. More than 120 businesswomen from across South Africa gathered for a full day of holistic business strategy and networking. The congress was followed by a glittering gala event, where the Businesswomen of the Year winners were announced. Elmari Swart won the category for Up and Coming Entrepreneur. Says Elmari: "Wine, travel and writing are my passions and it is a great honour to receive recognition for doing what you love. This award not only serves to ensure that we keep pushing the boundries in wine-publishing, but also presented me with an opportunity to market fine South African wines to all who attended." The Essential Guide to South African Wines - 2009 The second edition of The Essential Guide is being revised and updated to offer even more to our readers. We are deepening the extent of research on the subjects of terroir, plantings and mapping in order to present the readers with practical, up-to-date and relevant information that has never been published on South African Wine before. Our representatives will be calling on you over the next few months for possible participation and research data. The Essential Guide is virtually sold out!!! Yes, we are almost sold out one year in advance, testament to the success of this new concept in wine marketing. We thank each and every client for your continued support!	Cheviot Books go to Frankfurt Widely available in SA, UK and USA, we receive more and more requests for The Essential Guide and 100 Words about Weddings from the East as well as continental Europe. In order to further our distribution channels to these areas, we have sent our books to the world's largest book fair: The Annual Frankfurt fair - October 2008. More than a quarter of a million visitors attend this trade show and our books will be represented on the Gourmand International and Metz Press' stands. Annoucements We are proud to announce that Leslé Davids has joined the team. She brings a good level of efficiency to our offices in Cape Town, and is working hard to arrange appointments for the 2009 edition of the Essential Guide.
